Camilla Gisslow puts focus on the basic needs and rights of children with a transgender identity. She uses her own experiances as a mother to a transgender child and from her work in creating awereness and change for transgender children since 2006.

Camilla lifts examples from family life, school and society in what transgender children needs and have the right to.

The four basic principles of the convention of the rights of the child are:

None discrimination - Every child has the right to an everyday life without discrimination of any kind.E

The best interest of the child/childrent - In all actions concerning children, it is their best interest that has to be the primary consideration.

The right to survival and development - The state has a responsibility, “to the maximum extent possible”, to ensure the survival and development of the child – to help them achieve their full potential.

The views of the child: Participation/Inclusion - ”Children have the right to express their views in all matters affecting them.”
